The St Joseph's Parish Pastoral Council is a consultative body, whose purpose is to provide the opportunity for the laity and the clergy to meet and share the responsibilities for the community and life of St Joseph's Parish by;-

	discerning the needs of the Parish community
	supporting the activities of Parish organisations
	endeavouring to involve the whole of the Parish in the work of the Church, in response to present and future needs
	being a means of fostering a sense of community in the Parish
	helping communication between the Parish, the Stockton Area Pastoral Council, and the Diocesan Pastoral Council, and
	assessing the progress of Parish Projects.

The Council will consist of    Ex-Officio Clergy members    Elected Parishioners (up to 20), and    Youth members (up to 2)
